Hello all! My name is Scott, I'm 37 and live in Oregon City, Oregon with my fiance' and her evil son. My family has been involved with cars since way before I was born. My Dad worked for Ford most of his life, somewhere in a box is a picture of little me sitting on a GT40. I currently have a 1958 Ford Fairland Town Victoria Tudor (no post). It's nosed, decked, shaved, blocked in the rear and bagged in the front. I also have a 1972 Porsche 911T that I rebuilt (yeah I know, it's air cooled), 5 Vespas and Lambrettas ranging from 1956-1979, and a Ducati Monster. There's also the sensible car, but we won't talk about that one.

I've lurked around here for over a year, and have been really impressed with the knowledge and workmanship/workwomanship constantly displayed here. Hopefully this link will work to a picture of the '58, or as a recent post called them "butt ugly Ford" and something else about '58 Fords not being thought of as hot rod material. If not, I'll try to get my computer illiterate self to figure out how to post in a different format.

Nice Ford and welcome!! What side mouldings did you use? they set off the profile very nice. The top one looks like the bottom of the 500 moulding, but the bottom one has me totally lost.

    Nice leg's dude.

  6. Welcome! I love '58's. I always thought they were the coolest looking, especially fixed up. Yours is one of the nicest I've seen.

    See ya around here.

Welcome! There isn't anything ugly about that Ford. Looks great, I love the way it sits.

  12. Welcome aboard! I usually don't like those Fords but man that thing is just plain bad ass looking! Oh yeah and REAL Lambrettas are shaft drive! (I have a 56 D150 viva la 2 stroke1)

Those side mouldings are a stock option. As far as I can figure out, it was part of the option package that make the car into a 'Town Victoria'. Oh yeah, Thanks! [IMG]

[/ QUOTE ] The evil slacker child never leaves the safety of his room, and video games. I think if the sunlight hits him, he'll turn to dust. He's not remotely interested in cars, so I don't have to worry about him trying to 'borrow' anything. I have considered trying to sell him on Ebay. If I do, I'll let you know.
