The last couple of these i have used have had problems discharging the battery. I have tested them but really haven't found anything wrong but when they are connected the battery drains quickly. If i leave the altenator wire off the battery stays charged. Anybody else have this occur?

Those things are junk, and WAY overpriced. I have one that I was having problems with and they are ***holes to deal with too.

I have used Powermaster alternators and starters on many of the hotrods we have built and have had no problems. I to have always had a battery shutoff.

After going thru several and noticing the rated output was not at idle I started using factory GM stuff. I had a factory GM rebuilt to 120 amp and it has worked VERY well for 8 plus years. Cheaper too!
