Thanks for posting the KKIM and Cedarville show pics. It was a great weekend. Hey DakotaJohn there has been modelers show up at Cedarville from your state. They come from three surrounding states. This year was a good year. Everything went up in numbers (models, people and vendors). I was even able to find a couple of good deals.
All the work is Riceman's!!! (I only re-sized the photos.) That says it for me, because I was speechless!
No I got a lil behind with the KKIM and Cedarville show the same weekend. I tried finishing the shoebox ford (almost too) and then started a Falcon project along with Nitro Marty. Here is what I got so far on the Fleetline. (bought a few more of these at Cedarville too) It is a satin g**** color.
I just started on these... '49 Ford (die-cast,which I chopped & converted into a hardtop) '49 Merc (plastic, don't know yet what direction I'm going with that one) I'll be posting more pics,so keep watching here & on HAMB plastic model builders. Cheers Jannie http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/group.php?groupid=105 ps:Thank you Jim for the '49
here is one of my projects. Using an OHV caddy in this one. I had to ask a lot of questions and look at a lot of pics to figure out an exhaust that would look wright.
it's fairly easy to do, and i'll be doing a how to video once the car is finished. complete build http://public.fotki.com/Keith__Shannan/keiths_model_car/112_scale_stuff/rusty-112-scale-57-chevy/ this car i pretty much did the same way, but used table salt on it after the first coat of primer. here is a video of how i did another car http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JgJh1nYoLt4 <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/JgJh1nYoLt4&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/JgJh1nYoLt4&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>
Built this for a H.A.M.B'er.. (mock up on ym wheels for a visual) Gotta touch up the decal work on this side..kinda get it to flow with the wear spots..
I started working on my Revell 56 F-100 this weekend. I had it sealed in the box for probably 12 years or more. Trying to go with flat black with surface rust look. Gives me something to do while letting my spot welds cool on my 54 F-100.
Keith, I said it before and I'll say it again.....you are the king of rust! Keith is a friend from Large Scale Modeler and a talented builder, as you can see. The other rusty stuff here looks great, too! Here is a car I have not worked on in a while and have been thinking about getting back to it, a 1/8 scale AA fuel altered Fiat Topolino. The frame is a modified Lindberg Exterminator. Front and rear axles and front wheels (modified to fit Monogram Street T skinnies) from the same kit. The motor is an aftermarket resin 392 blown hemi, cast by Robert Hayes.
Here's what I've been working on, Revell '50 Ford pickup wth a Jimmy Flintstone chopped (and slightly sectioned) cab, lowered into the weeds, modified the grille, and a few other subtle mods....
