Sold my merc few months back, and decided to get a shop truck. Found this full custom 1955 ford in oregon at a great price and bought it. It was built in the 60's and was possibly featured in an old car craft issure ( can't find it in any of mine). I think this was when the fenders were pinched, the chrome running boards where added, and the cad taillights where done. Not sure about the chop yet. It was later rebuilt in the late 70's early 80's with a blown 454, widened fenders, chevy subframe and rearend, and the tailgate cover.
The guy i got it from put a nicely detailed 350 in it and told me he bought it out of california. He said the 454 was "too much" for him to handle. Truck runs great and is like being in a new car. I drive it every day. Hoping you guys can help me find some history/pictures of it from back in the day. Would like to restore it back to the way it was. The only thing i have changed so far are the 70's big and little true spokes for the chrome reverse rims and www's. I am going to take the 3" strip out of the rear fenders next, and then thats it. Thanks scc

thanks for the compliments and thank for the headlight tip. Not sure about gold, but I have uncovered a blue and a yellow so far.
