    Here's a quote:

    "Here's the full cycle.
Push the ****on, the window goes down, the door latch unlatches, door opens.
Close the door, the window goes up.
This is run through the neutral safety switch so it does 'not' pop the doors when in gear."

Cool, but pointless. Reminds me of all the electronics on the Golden Sahara II.

Couldn't the guy use an RFID tag in a keychain? It could be fairly easy to make it so the back door didn't open unless the keychain was within like 5' of the door...

The old Lincoln suicide door convertibles do that in a smaller way. The rear window rolls down just enough to clear the top when you push the door ****on. When you close the door it rolls back up.

All the planning and work to do that and the window still doesn't ride in the track properly....

uuuuhhhh, am I missin' somethin' here, or do I see a door handle on that door? Seems like when he pushed that ****on, he could have just wrapped his fingers around the handle and pulled at the same time, seems like that would open it.

What purpose does it serve? Adding a whole bunch of complicated **** to go wrong, just to open a door by pushing the thumb ****on on the door handle that would have opened it without all that ****?
I'm really confused about what sense this makes, and I'm sorry, but all that complicated **** ain't cool in my book when there's a much simpler solution already attached to the freakin' door! If he had shaved the handles and this was his solution, I still wouldn't like it, it's too complicated. FAIL (but it's just an opinion):)

I'm not quite sure why you call it that. A simple toggle switch in my center console allows me to cut power to the back doors, 'locking' them from outside access.

If I need to leave the car, I flip the toggle switch, lock the front doors, and the car's locked. No easier to get in to then a normal '59.

    Sorry if I didn't elaborate ;-)

And please don't get me wrong ~ I 'more' then appreciate input & comments, I'm just - confused.

If the toggle switch in my center console is to give me the ability to cut power to the rear doors, 'locking' them from outside access, if someone is 'in' the car, does the type of switch make a difference?

It would deter someone 'playing', yes, but if someone is in the car that shouldn't be, I've got bigger problems?!

I think its pretty cool to have on a big luxury car like a Caddy. Surely they´re all about gadgets? I guess the car already had electric windows anyway, so whats he actually added apart from a couple of switches and relays and a door popper? Don´t understand why people think it would be any easier to steal than any other car? It still locks i ***ume.

from what i read, the window has to be down for the back door to open after the suicide conversion.
i guess this is a way to open the window from outside to get into the back seat without having to open the front door and lower the back window so then the p***engers can get in..
