Ya I heard the have really shitty porducts and costomer service. My buddy bought a 10 gallon 4 port tank and they sent him a 5 gallon 2 port and it took them like a month to send him the right one
possibly yeah for my '66. would you happen to have any more build pics of how you did the front and rear? i was under the impression that these cars are real easy to bag, meaning that you can drop the bag in place of the coil and you're done but with your post, it doesn't seem that easy, haha. thanks.
well for the rear it wasnt a drop in for me ...i didnt like the clearance it had around the bag ...when i do a job i dont want to see it come back . so i cut out the entire coil crossmember .and built upper and lower brackets to bolt the bag to and slapped a crossmember in there . i suck at taking progress pictures , sorry but this is what i got ...oh and the front isnt 100% necessary it was just icying on the cake ..but functions super nice and is very strong .
thanks. it looks real nice with the stance. good work. did you not cut the driveshaft tunnel? did you notch the rear at all? sorry for all the questions.
dont worry about the questions...we all here to help each other right . as far as the cutting goes the owner didnt want it cut . the drive shaft hits the tunnel before it bottoms out on the frame ..it basically has a factory notch the owner still comments how nice the car drives ..but i credit that to the shocks ... so make sure you get the right shocks
You say that the car you did is in the Temecula area? Where are you located? I'd like to get my 66 bagged but until i have the extra cash flow i just slammed it....It drives like a dream! so i can relate to the owner of the car you did. I was thinking though about what you said in regards to the car hitting the drive shaft before bottoming out...I am riding on 14's so i think it would lay frame before hitting the drive shaft don't you think? I added a pic so you can see how i cruise it but let me know where you are and maybe we can get her down all the way.. PS. She is on the Market if any one is interested. Just PM me.
one of the photoshop guys shud do it up as a squad car. hehe. like the widewhites on it. gona be a great looking ride.
I just Heated the coils evenly on all four corners.. measuring as i went along. The car is level and does ride great (no bounce, steering is aligned, no sqeaking or noise, and it doesn't bottom out)...But it's not as low as it could go and i have no control of the height....so i want bags! What do you charge for a basic what i call " Lay and display" set up?? You can PM me the price if you'd like. Thanks
where's all the "Traditional Police"?Next they wont bash the pro street guys or the street rod guys. Just sayin
Yo Eric! whats up man its George! your car looks sick! can i have it? lol i know you have another one you dont need as bad haha. anyways hope all is well
Hey Southern, I,m just up the freeway from ya, was that a Old Dodge in the driveway? Let me know if you bag it, I want to get the '50 done. Rumor has it they are not that easy to do..
It's suggested by many air ride installer to run a dual 5 tank setup for easier function of lift due to the weight of the vehicle(especially the front end). How well did this system work?
Actually, systems such as this,or air ride,or "air adjust" or "pneumatic auto leveling systems" have been in development since the 40's and used in some of the big GM cars since the mid 50's.I would say it's pretty traditional or "period correct".Hell, the first car with adjustable hydraulics was the X-Sonic,and that was in the late 50's,early 60's I believe.Just like Radial tires were being used on cars in Europe in the 50's,and then here in the late 50's.I don't see how it's not period correct, especially if it was available for the period the car was built in.
