It's a NW car, customized in like 57 or 58...when the car was pretty new. Recently redone, I think this was it's first showing.

My friend Billy and I talked to the Orange Crate's owner's wife for like 20 minutes. She was really cool and told us some great storys about the car.

No awards were given by Thee Emperors this round, but next year will be different :D

  14. Rather then start my own thread I'll just add my photos to Chris' thread. Here's the first batch of the Orange Crate. On Sunday night I got to fulfill one of my dreams by helping close the body down on the Orange Crate. If your wondering it take three or four people, depending on their strength to hold the body up and one person to align the tubular framework with the cowl.

The green 57 chev belongs to my oldest friend Jon Budda, we grew up together out near the stateline. As far as I know they just freshened up the car, all the customizing was done pretty early as Chris said.

Jon took the tub over for Hot-rod-arama.

  26. I know both John and the guys who helped finish up the car. I'm pretty sure there are plans for it to be in Puyallup for the Goodguys Pacific Northwest Nats.

Very nice collection of cars. Really liked the 57 and the styling.

  29. Wow, thanks for the pics! Was this just a room out of a bigger show? If so I would never have left it anyway!

Haven't seen the Orange Crate in many years, probably since the mid-60's at the Ptld.
Roadster Show. I'm assuming the Tindal family no longer owns it; believe Bob passed
    away some time ago.
Has it been recently restored? Now based in Spokane?
Great show and display - and of course I like the '36....
