OK, so i damn near twisted the door off my Buick Friday, long story, anyway, cant find a good replacement around these parts, found one in cali and one in s.d. but these guys have not responded, i remembered DVAP from my Pontiac muscle car days. this place had some good deals but i was always broke and shipping was too much so i made do with what i had locally. point being, has anyone had dealings with DVAP? their site shows what looks like some good rust free cars more importantly good Buick doors. anyone know anything?
Don't know from personal experience, but i've read quite a few posts on other boards saying they've become quite spendy.
Their website doesn't seem to be very current either. We tried to get some parts for a Maverick at the shop and the site showed eight of them. When we called, they had one. None of the stuff listed was still there. That being said, they still have a TON of parts. Try Freeman's too.
A friend of mine just bought a floor out of a 65 Valient, and they shipped it to him, and cut it out right.
I took a tour of two of their yards, one young guy was a jerk the rest were great. There prices can be a bit high but they know there stuff.
www.fremansauto.com I wonder if these are solid cars or not? I'm betting they salt the roads in Montana.
Desert Valley is on here. Their prices are usually high, but generally rust free. And I will agree, there are a few jerks that work there, but there are also a few good ones.
I bought a convertible top ***embly for a 1959 pontiac once and they sent me a super nice piece and packaged it well. I paid a decent amount for it but they weren't exactly growing on trees and I got precisely what I paid for.
Was there in feb. 08 and dvap was good and the people nice but there's hidden valley auto in maricopa, az that had everything i needed and also nice people and not as picked through, try them e-mail hvap@aol.com 520-568-2945
I called one of those yards once and asked on a price for a bare shell they supposedly had and they gave me a price that was on the level of high on crack insane. I forget if it was hidden valley or desert valley now. But they made the prices I put on things look like Wal-mart prices. If money's falling out of your ****, you'll be okay, but if you're cheap, don't bother.
I will be at DVAP in Casa Grande on Friday. Also hitting Hidden Valley as well. I have not been there since they moved.
Brian26 I suggest you contact the manager at DVAP. I know the crew over there and it just doesn't sound right that they would take your $$$ and not ship anything. If that's the case, I know they would return the money if they didn't have the part for you. That just doesn't sound right. Please follow up with them. I'm sure they'll make it right if its exactly as you have indicated.

tried to scam us lost $1400 down payment on 3 cars we were going to buy, the floors were rusted out so they put a brown colored tarp under the car so it would not show in the photo's luckly our truck driver checked before he loaded. we came back empty. and some other chat site (maybe the hamb) they tried to pull the same thing again with another guy at least we were able to warn him. don't buy unless you see it at least from them.
