    van or station wagon

Tough to pull off a filled sedan roof and not look streetroddish. Flamedabones is one of the few, the blower and tire smoke kinda distract you!

  4. another vote against the sunroof. Just my 2 cents....

Cut the roof off an old mercury wagon for my 29 tudor.
Haven't got it in yet but looks like it will work great.

Howell sheetmetal has new steel panels to fill the roof of your sedan... a smooth roof panel is 200 dollars and a panel with ribs is 225 dollars.... I have bought some door skins from them and they fit and work very well......

Fellow hambers have said the roof inserts from howells don't work.
The tubs and patch panels I got from them worked out very nicely for me though

Sliding ragtop would be cool. Think I've seen it done in old sedan. Not sure but Street Beat was a good source for sliding ragtop parts, etc.. Think they are still producing them. Probably a bus unit would be really close.

  13. Sliding ragtop is different than a Vaurnet wearing sunroof owner.

  14. Please, no sun roof. Don't care if its a Street Rod, Street Freak, Hot Rod or one of those rodent rods. Just say no to sunroof's

I used a ribbed '62 Old wagon roof in a '29 I built. I think all early 60's GM wagons are the same.

Talk to Chad Anderson 408.213.9618 ragtop. 35" x 65" works great for that installation.. Streetbeat not so good since the changing of the guard.

There was another thread on this topic a while back. I have searched but can not find it. Anyone know what I am talking about?

The roof inserts they sell are flat, no compound, just rolled.

That's my plan for my '30 Tudor. Looks of the original soft top but the added bonus of opening up. :)
