I thought I would show a pic of how I re-mounted the wishbones. Being I did not build this ch***is I went over it and changed some things I though needed to be changed. This was thefirst thing I did. SAFETY 1ST. I will try to find the pics of it before I changed it so that you can see what I mean. But this set up is done witha perch that usually goes through the axle and wishbone as many already know. But I had my friend make me a sleeve out of round bar and it is nearly a 1/4 thick wall and beveled to allow for the perch to sit in with it's original bevel.

Like I said, I would look for the before pics of the wishbones. and as you can see this is the way they were when I got this frame...... Scary...... Huh!!!!!!
I just want this Hot Rod.........to be ...........Safe.............so, I thought this would be a much stronger approach to mounting the spring through the wishbones.

I found a really nice seat for the tuck and I will try and post a pic of it tonight if I can . But I have also been in the process of finishing off a headlight bar for the truck and I am at a spot with the grille I may have to chop it because it seems as though it will be hitting the axle..........Well I will try to see what I get done tonight and post the progress.............

I was in the garage last night and decided to make something to go around the firewall. I thought this would be nicer than just have a polished firewall completely across the cowl. This way I can paint this the same as the body color.

Great looking truck... it gets even better when you can go out and drive the wheels off of it on the road...

Thanks I really appreciate the kind words. I really can't wait to drive this thing. I have a friend here and all he thinks about is show style cars. He is always coming down on me with how the things I am building are nothing special. But I always try to tell him that they are special in the fact that I am trying to preserve a tradition in automotive history. He just don't seem to get it. That is why I posted the show truck remark...........lol.......Thanks Jeem, I appreciate the fact that you can see what is important

Well I am finishing up with school this week so I will be going hot and heavy on this truck so that I can at least have some fun with it before the bad weather begins here in NY. I will be posting updates periodically for those who care.........lol.......

It has been a while since I have had any time to work on this little project but after we finish the pedal car for my daughter I will post some pics of the progress that has been being made on the truck. I took the stainless firewall out and bought a nice original Model A one that I will be puting back in. I am hoping to have his thing ready for the upcoming Billetproof show in Florida. Hopefully I can get it done.

Everyone with slammed, or severly lowered pickups check out this build, perfect stance, proportions and a highboy to boot excellent truck.

Hey, HOTROD33, your truck was the main inspiration as well as this build and others here on the HAMB, to go with this stance on my current truck project, the HAMB comes to the rescue again.

Also wide fives all the way!

Thanks everyone. I am trying like hell to finish this but I do not see it being painted due to weather and time. so it is looking like it will be in grey primer for the show. I still have a lot to do but will be freezing my *** off to get it done.

    Thanks guys.

Well I am getting down to the wire on this one. I have yet again changed a ton of **** and I think it was for the best. A major change was the engine I decided to put a Flattie in this one instead of the 283 that I had in it. This is a pic from last week I will try and get some more tomorrow if I can but I am almost ready to fire this thing up and take it for a spin .

Thanks! Your truck is pretty sweet itself :D

  29. That is looking really great. I like the shot with all three vehicles. Were it not for the basketball goal, it would be hard to tell it wasn't 50 years ago!
