Im new to houston and looking to meet some people into rods and customs out here. I am also looking for a cheap project but i cant decide if i should build a hot rod or custom... It would probably be best to build a hot rod do to lack of space, but i never built a frame, and i shure as hell wanna learn. (i know sheet metal fab) so if any one needs a hand around a shop or knows of anyone that does......... Hit me up. Other than that... I am now a proud member of the h.a.m.b.
Welcome from Houston! If you've never experienced the heat here, just wait another couple of months, it's wonderful. Probably the best local get together is the Nifty Fifties show every Saturday, see details: http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=347201, a lot of other HAMBers are usually there (doesn't matter if you have a ride in the show). I'm planning on going this Sat. Usually 300 to 400 cars. I don't know how long you've been lurking, but there's an art show on here every Friday, post up if you have anything. What side of town are you on?

Hey man. Welcome to town. The Niftee Fiftees thing happens around 249 and Spring Cypress Road. About 30 minutes from you or so if you live on the east side. You're in luck as we also have the First Sunday meet...which is usually only HAMBers....and it just so happens the First Sunday is this coming Sunday. We all meet down at the Darkhorse on Washington Ave around 3ish-ish. Or something. Good times. Don't know where you're from but again... welcome to the humidity.
Welcome to the group from Houston. Come hang out with us saturday, and sunday its the best way to meet people in this town.(its what we did)
