Ok,here here's the real deal.I have been thrashing my *** off getting my 39 Ford truck ready for the ride up to the Roundup.I would really like to take my 29 model a.Has of now my wife is swearing up and down she does not want to drive the a to Austin and since i dropped the new stroker in a couple of weeks ago i am looking at 7 to 8 miles to the gallon. She has no problem driving either of the rods once we are there. So would i look like a puss if i trailered the A behind the 39 .PLEASE DON'T KICK MY *** TO BADD ON THE REPLIES WITH THIS ONE

trailer it til about 15 miles outside town and dont tell anyone you trailered it.........
if anyone asks - say - yeah the wife wont let me drive all the way here...

they will give you **** for your wife being boss (which she is right?) instead of giving you **** for traliering the ride!

    ha

  3. It is OK if you are using an old truck like that, you both have something to drive in Austin that way!

Who cares how they get there as long as they are there, do you really care what other might think.

Dude. Bring em both. Anyone that gives a guy trailering a model A with a 39 is an idiot. Just don't powerpark your trailer :)

I forgot to mention that the 39 has A/C and the A does not..Now i sure you can understand why she does not want to drive the A and i will be damned if i am going to give it up!!

As long as you're there, I don't think anyone will care (too much) how you did it.

Pulling your ''A'' on a trailer behind a '39 Ford truck would be quite a sight to see and a DAMN GOOD one in my book! Just think when you're at the Round-up, you'll have a choice of which Rod to drive each day, now that is ALL GOOD!

The only thing cooler would be pulling the truck with the A.

  14. I agree with everyone else, **** I've got a Model A and I only wish I had a 39 Truck to tow it to an event with. Keep the wife happy & tow it, at my house when the wife's unhappy EVERYONES unhappy.

I'm trailering my roadster for the Roundup.....well that is if I get my wheels from Wheelkid in time. Who gives a **** what people say. I have to trailer the roadster first and foremost because I'm not going to punish my wife for 2200 miles second as soon as rain appears my *** will be all over the place with those slicks third....like I said who gives a ****. Do what you must to get it there.

If I worried about what other people thought, I'd never have built my first hot rod.

  27. There are plenty of rides that will be there that are Trailered. I wouldn't worry especially if you are towing it with the '39, To me that would make you double cool :) Come on and have some fun you are gonna love it.

who started the whole "cant trailer a hot rod" thing??? do you think all the great builders from back in the day drove their cars to every show? i don't think so! yeah, its cool to drive your rod outta state, but if you gotta put it on a trailer to get it there, who gives a ****! i had to do it to get my car from connecticut to detroit, its one thing if you trailer it to the next town over, (then your definitely a ***) but for goin long distances, sometimes its better to be safe than sorry!
