OT: mag feature question

I remember a few years back, this being the topic of many threads,.. but I couldnt find em, and to be honest, I didnt pay much attention to them when it was fresh,.. but now I'm trying to find the issue / issues, that featured this pickup pictured. plus any links to the old threads here would be helpful as well.

It was also in two, consecutive issues of The Rodder's Journal, #28-29. 1st in bare metal, then finished.

 

Why don't you just call Pinkee's Rod Shop in Ft. Collins, CO and ask them...???
