started to do repairs on the front fenders today on the 55. [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

  9. I have a Volare sub frame with 2" dropped spindles on the front and on the rear I have posie low rider springs with the axle on top of the springs. In order to get it this low I had to raise the floor of the bed about 4" to clear the rear axle. The ride is good and it drives great down the road.

Looks like your making good progress. I purchased a 55 Big Back Window project a few months back in a similar condition. Late 70's Camaro Subframe, Camaro rearend etc., I've had to weld in new steps, inner and outer cab corners, rebuild the door hinges, fab up from sheet metal radiator support mount which also doubles as my front bumper mounting bracket support :) I ran into a previous customer who also has a 55 truck that I built for him and he gave me the windshield and back gl*** because they had minor flaws. This one is going to be my shop truck so I don't mind a scratch her and their.

Keep posting pictures of your build...makes me want to work on mind that much more :)

  15. Cameo bed or stepside? I've always wanted to build a mild custom Cameo shop truck
