was supposed to be a 40 ford axel...front and rear..but looks like the front spindles and hubs are 42-48...did some trading to help finance Lil Beast...can't sell the stuff if i don't know what it is or is worth...lil help would be great....the rear axel, how many springs should there be in the pack...came with a some loose..and are the bones any good after having been heated and bent for the rear axel?? .the front axel, has some brackets added to it that i have to remove...was told the hubs are 42-48...and supposedly desireable..hey, i'm a rookie when it comes to these parts..and the straight bones, they fit the front axel width wise, but what's up with the extra hooked bracket on the front of them??it's factory peice, not add on.... looking to sell the parts, but i gotta figure out what it all is and if it's worth anything..thanks...hated to bump it, but these are better pics so....double click on pics and they will go super sized for cloeup veiw...also the straight bones have brand new tie rod ends, nicely welded and the bent rear bones have new hardware but not welded...
i'm still trying to figure out what everthing i traded for the other day is, and what fits what and what this stuff is worth...pm me if ya want to make any offers, i really don't want this thread closed..well not at least until i ID the parts.....can ya shead some lite on what and why the bones have the extra hook on the front of them???????????
Looks like a 40 axle with 42-48 spindles. 40 bones with a 28-34 perch bolt in the one, the piece on the front is the original factory spring perch hanger. That rear looks like a later 42-48 to me, but it's hard to say without taking some measurements. The rear spring is definitely later with the big rubber bushed spring eyes. Looks like you've got a rear panhard bar from a 42-48 too. All the info to ID this stuff and price it is already on the hamb in quan***y. I hate to sound like a crotchety ol' hamber, but if you spend a little time searching you'll be sure to find what you're looking for. To give you a little perspective, I've bought several of those later rears over the past few months for less than $50 each, some with nearly complete brake ***ys. The spindles and front bones are probably going to bring the most money...
