Whats to do in so cal?

  1. Im looking to make the move over the grapevine from bakersfield. Trying to fing a job and a place somewhere between sf and la .whats out there? 25 years old , cert welder , 2 years at kiwi konnection ,chassis fab , 6 mos in oilfields , hotrodder , dragracer , reliable,honest,patriotic.

    i've had a few friends move down....cost of living is more in socal...you have a trade under your belt....you might score a welding job or even a pumping job....if it were me i'd hit the boiler industry...try R.F. Mcdonnell or Southern California boiler in huntington beach....if you can stick weld that would be a plus...the boiler trade is a dying breed....they need young guys to replace the old navy dogs. if it were me i'd stick to central california....try R.F. in fresno or Central Boiler in visalia...central boiler would more than likely hire you on the spot!!! i worked there for 10 yrs......the boiler trade will make you good money...learn as much as you can...if you don't dig it you can get a stationary engineer job at one of the state facilities..AKA $$$$$$
