    pretty lame. hope they're caught.

  2. I lost two trailers in a 6 month period. Both were open car trailers. One was an az-tex and the other was a bigtex. I found out that the v.i.n. Numbers were stickers. There were no stamped numbers at all. I did get the bigtex back. A friend of mine found it. I called the police. They came out and impounded it as it had a vehicle on it. I even went so far as to tow it to the impound for them because the tow truck didn't have a 2 5/16 ball. It took me 3 weeks to get it back from the police. They didn't want to return it because i couldn't prove it was mine. I lucked out when a friend of mine produced a photo of his car on the trailer showing an alteration that was made to the front of the trailer by me.
The bigtex was stolen in front of our shop on a busy street at 1 pm. Right under our noses..
The other was stolen at night from in front of chubby ch***is in fontana. It was backed into a wall with a van backed over the tongue. They cut the fence next to it and hooked a chain to pull it out sideways. Industrial sized balls.

SR, not a problem. I want people to protect THEIR investment, and not let s***bags take it. I mentioned on another site about flat beds, take a tire off. Also, lock up you safety chain real tight.

So far over 300 people in 1 day have seen the posts I made on other forums. A cheap way to get the word out.

shame that these things happen........seems alot of trailers have been stolen lately. i find it hard to think someone pulled this down the highway without being spotted. I tend to think they grabbed it and took it to a garage right away.. where they will wait til the heats off a bit and change it`s looks. What has been the results from other stolen rigs thru out the country? Of course we dont have the answers but seems some detective work by the local police mike see if there is a pattern developing. I`ve heard of alot of trailers being stolen , have any been found??

  5. Got a note through another group ,that this trailer was FOUND!.
Their not sure what was taken yet..

I cannot thank you enough for everything you have done for us…you will be happy to hear we recovered the trailer and are just waiting to pick it up tomorrow morning from a two yard. The trailer isn’t damaged but we don’t yet know what is missing. To be honest I can handle what was inside being gone knowing we have the trailer back.

you can insure a trailer for just a few bucks. sure does help to ease the pain if you can replace it with a new one.

The Vintage Fuel trailer was recovered Monday, April 6, 2009. Although absolutely empty they are elated to have it back and wanted to thank all readers and friends for the support, kind words, and efforts. Shortly they will release a flier and reward for the contents of the trailer.
