Hi all, This is my first post, and hopefully someone will be able to hook me up with the info I need to install the T5 in my AMC Hornet with a chev 350 in place. I did read all the T5 tech links, but there is so much there I got a bit confused. From what I am gathering, I'm going to need a one piece seal 350 flywheel [to suit my one piece seal motor..], a 4.3 V6 bell housing, (now the confusing part..)... an early S10 trans - with mechanical speedo... OR a Camaro v-8 trans. A few questions... which friction disk would I need to use?... 4.3 V-6 or a Camaro (305) style disk? Also, what shifter fork will I need to grab from the junkyard? Not much was mentioned on this item... Someone told me I can use either cable or hydraulic fork, and just hook up my traditional old-school push rod to it to make it complete. Which throw out bearing would I need to use and how about input shaft lengths... will this be a problem too? I'm aware I'll have to swap over a tail housing and top cover to get the shifter back where I need it for my application. Sorry for all the questions, but I'd like to get the most complete list to make only one or two trips to the junkyard. I'm aware the V-6 trans is weaker, but I'm not into 5000 RPM shifts or snagging second and third all the time! I don't have a ton of cash, so the cheapest way will have to do until I can get the cash up for a better trans. Any suggestions would be great! Cheers! Mike

Yes, it's an American Motors 1974 4 door granny-special. The 232 died and I had a good 350/TH700R4 combo waiting. The switch-over was easy, as all I had to do was fab up some motor mount plates. I replaced the stock rear with an AMC 20 12 bolt with 3.54 and posi. Fun to drive, but I really miss having a stick shift. However a Hudson Hornet would be cool too!! :) Cheers! Mike

T5s came in 3rd Gen Camaros. I'd suggest looking into how they did it.
