Anyone out there tell me where I can find the wheel alignment specs for my 56 Ford Customline? I'm taking it to Ripley's Auto in Houston this weekend and they said it would help if I could produce them. Just did 2" drop springs , ball joints etc. and it needs aligned.
    Thanks!

According to the 1958 edition of Motor's Repair Manual, the specs are as follows:
    caster : +1/2 to +1 1/2 desired: +1
    camber: +1/4 to +1 1/4 desired: +3/4
    toe-in :1/16 to 1/8
    degrees toe-out on turns :eek:uter wheel 20 , inner wheel 24 1/2
    degrees steering axis : 7
These specs are the same for all models, hope this helps.

My advice would be to forget those specs and go as follows, as near as possible.
    Camber -1/2 degree negative

Caster as much positive as possible, 5 or so + is pretty ideal. You won't be able to get that much though without some surgery.

    Toe's fine at 1/8 in.
