Did you stop taking your meds? Define 'killed'. I wish I could NOT be happy having a '31 like that. What happened to it?

Not realy killed but sold the 31 body to a fellow hamber. I'v just always liked the 28-29's and can only focus on one project at a time.

  12. Hey! I think I see the ghost of the dead Olympian in the back of that picture:eek:!!! Spooky....

  13. oh yeah, hope you leave the rumble seat in that sport coupe. They ain't practical for sure but nothing looks cooler than a rod going down the road with someone hanging in the rumble seat!

  14. If you were closer the Olympian would have been mine! The new one looks good!
On a different note, what the hell happened to Darrin(amodelahole)? Did you sacrifice him to the bears on the coupe recon trip?

I am sure the next one will be just as cool. Is it going to be the "Lucky Lager"

As I said over on the banger meet, very cool!

Being a big fan of sport coupes I'm looking forward to how this one pans out. What are the long term plans for the car? Paint, motor, etc? Or are you gonna use it as is? It will be a cool ride whatever you choose to do.

  18. Perfect! What colour will it be? I'd leave it how it is!

Im going to take the seat and have it upholstered today in a two tone black and maroon. Figuring on running some diffrent kind of intake probably a single down with an 81, new rear tires and drive the heck out of it. as for paint I'm going to buff the heck out of it and drive it as-is. This is probably going to be the car I keap forever.

Sounds like a fantastic plan, I dig it! What are you going to do with the roof? Is it going to be done with original brackets and wood or are you planning something else for it?

Mine is a lifetime keeper as well. There's something about them Sport Coupes!

Have you put a wanted ad on Ahooga? That's where I found my roof brackets. LeBaron Bonney carry the straps that go between the bows. There's not much to 'em but when you've nothing to go on it's difficult to know where to start.

Here's a link to a previous thread I contributed to with a few pictures of mine showing the bows, brackets and straps in place prior to and after covering. Hopefully it might be of use to you.

Progress is going fast, After turning the doors back into coupe doors I chopped the Top 3 Inches and finished all the welding today. I'll have to take some real photos of the details soon, but these are from my camera phone. Its sure comming along.

I love the early T/A lights- Drum tailights. Would look ***s on your car. If you decide to run the A style light, I have an NOS 28-early 29 talight hanger I bought for my car. I decided to do the over-done single tailight in the center trick.

  30. Probably was hard to give up the Olymian, but when you finish the sport coupe it'll be worth it, they're very cool.
