Hey guys and gals of the Hamb, It has been long winter and its coming up on the summer driving season as I'm sure you are awares, and my 61 econoline is being held up by one missing link! It has a 170ci Straight 6, and at some time the van was converted to an electronic ignition system, that has since stop working. It had a motorola control module, model 6TS2006C. It has a dedicated wired distributer for that box, with no option of converting back to points. The simple solution would be to just replace the control module with a new one of the same model, however I cant find one. So I need help! What do I do!? Thanks folks.:D

I think Pertronix has a kit for the Ford 6. Good stuff. Look at their catalog, or try a local auto parts store.

I'll have to look at the catalog, unfortunitly the auto parts store people around here are inept (huge generalization).

I just looked through the catalog and only found the conversion for a points distributer. I would like to find a whole distributer unit.

you are not going to find that. What you need to do is get a stock later model distributor (the later ones had a better curve to them), and put the pertronix into it. Its the simplest yet most effective way to run that motor, and get yourself onto the road. I have an extra earlier dizzy if it comes down to you needing it.

(not sure how to quote) (2 year bump, but at least I know how to search)
I guess you are talking about centrifugal advance curve. I have a 65' 240/auto econoline and want to put a pertronix in it. If I don't use the stock distributor, what year should I look for?
    Thanks.
