I am sort of interested in this too! When I got my frame the guys at Ionia said that if I had someone paint it they would Mother "F" me the whole time. Powder coating was the way to go on my '32 frame. So BTTT!!!!

You need to call some powdercoaters in your area to find out. They don't all charge the same. The quote I have for a car frame here is around $800.00. But I've had motorcycle frame quotes from $200.00 to $600.00, so.........

Cool! Not one has been over $1000 which makes it a little easier on the ticker. I was afraid the price was going to be out of control.

Prices will vary depending on how much of the prep work is done.

I powdercoat most of my frames, they are $450-$600. Some colors cost more than others. You can't beat a good powercoating job.

I had four 16" steel wheels, already blasted and cleaned, and they charged me $100 for basic black. That must be a little high then, huh?

Frame on this cost me $275+tax. I know it's a bike, but Larry T is right, just bust out the phone book, a pad and pen and start dialing.
This is also something else I found where the cheapest does not mean the worst and the most expensive does not the mean best.

God I wish I still had this bike...

Holy hell, I forgot how large that pic was, sorry Ryan.

The place I use has a "Rack Charge Rate" what ever they can hang on four 16' bars is $400 in most colors (if it is clean and ready to coat)
I had a t bucket frame and the whole front and 4 wire wheels done a couple years ago in purple cost was $375 for all

    Later kb

  21. depends on frame size, we do "T"s in the 250-300 range, regular frames in the 400-500 range.
and thats including all the media blasting and prep and single color.

  22. hell no, 25. each wheel is a steal, I do em when already prepped for 40. for a standard sized steel wheel

Also remember that if you need to fill in any imperfections you can use a skim coat of JB weld as it does work well and powder coat will stick to it no problems. I have done this to a lot of my other parts with no issues.

    Thanks!!!
