is it wrong to introduce myself again?

So I joined up here just after I bought my 56 chevy, and thought I had something to offer everyone, like I was God's gift to hot rodding or something. However, the H.A.M.B. took care of me, and I was gone like a roadrunner. But now I am back with a new perspective on things. I realized how much work, time, knowledge, and money it takes to make a good vintage car (whatever label you want to put on it). Long story short, I failed at making my chevy a hot rod. Maybe I gave up too easy, maybe it just wasn't in the Good Lord's plan for me, but at any rate I couldn't do what I had planned. But, like I said, my perspective changed. I realize now that I can enjoy everyone else's work, and be knowlegdable on all of it, and yet not actually own a hot rod or street rod myself. I mean, is that so wrong? I know it isn't popular around here, but I think I might be the kind of guy that pays someone else to build it, and then fix it myself when stuff breaks. So that's where I am at nowadays, how are things around here?

Welcome back. Funny, "Gods gift to Hot Rodding." There are people here that truely are "Gifts" and they don't even know it. There are people here that think they are 'gifts' & they are more like a root canal, it's such a relief when they are finished & forgotten about.
The search function here is our friend. There is an incredible amount of information on how to & how NOT to do things.
    Good Luck.

    Can do, thanks.

Did I see that Gene Winfield's shop joined up yesterday? Now there's a gift to the world.

Yes I saw it too, Great Hot Rodder. It's good to see his shop represented here.
It's better that you didn't see when Dick Bertolucci was attacked here. Later 'they' were corrected. I'm older(58) and Mr Bertolucci was building Hot Rods before I was born.
    Good Luck.
