Could use another run to break in my new tires. Smile!
Is it me or does the front down tube look like a drilled beam axle? Pretty neat idea, but like Boones said now we have to compete with the bike builders for 97's
That bike has a lot of neat features like the handlebars are made from a springer front leg & all the finned stuff was made by the owner. Does anyone know this guy & what his shop is called? I met him at THE HORSE SMOKEOUT but can't remeber his name. From what I understand he doesn't build a lot of bikes...mostly hot rods.
Hey s****, are you talking about Hank Young? I belive his web site hankyoungchoppers.com or something like that.
No it's a guy out of Framingham M*** - I think the company name is AMS. Yes the down tube is a drilled axle. There's a miniature Deuce grille shell at the bottom. The front of the triple tree is machined like a drilled axle. The headlight mount is a T-bucket headlight stand. The tail light is a model A mounted on a curved tube coming out of the rear fender. The tank is hand formed for a sculptured look. The rocker covers are custom as is the manifold naturally. Well I could go on and on. Four of us rodders spent an hour in Myrtle Beach pointing things out to each other. This scooter rocks!!!
Good ideas but I`m not much on the frontend...the overall package just dosent seem to flow. If I`m the only one that thinks this then I`ll keep my piehole shut!
I forgot about this until I read this post again. At THE HORSE SMOKEOUT about 3 guys tried to hold that bike so he could do a burnout (the front brake is a small drum that was not hooked up). The frontend picked up & launched the bike & without front brakes it took about 30 feet for him to get it stopped. He pulled it back & then 6 of us held it this time & the burnout happened but not all that well cause the big tire just wanted to stick. That guy was a great sport about it & we had fun. Anyone go & possibly have pics? It is great to see a high profile piece all dirty & covered in rubber just like everything Billy Lane rides.
