I really like the look of these leather backed seat belt latches:

I really don't like the logos all over the seat belt webbing.

Does anyone know of a manufacturer that makes this in just plain black? Or, is there anyone that replaces nylon in racing harnesses after their use-by date?

    Thanks in advance,

    Matt

They are typical racing belts, lots of places sell them. I used to see plain black lap belts in the back of VW mags.

  4. If my memory is correct you can buy seat belt material in different colors and by the roll at auto upholstry supply houses. Out dated racing belts are cheep at swap meets and the buckles are generaly in good shape.

RCI and G-Force have the same thing in Black, Simpson probably too. Check with Summit or Jegs. I have a set of RCI, Black.

Look on Ebay for some out dated belts. Usually 2 years or more from manufacture. Drag racers and the like will need tochange them out to stay legal.

Take a semstress' seam ripper to the lables and remove them. How easy is that, and cheap. This will make them worthless to any race sanctioning body. So if you want race, leave the labels alone.

I feel like a friggin' idiot.

    "Rip the tags off!"

Why couldn't my feeble mind grasp that concept??? [IMG]

    Thanks,

I'm a Crow belt dealer. If you want some new belts, I can p*** on a special H.A.M.B. discount. I'd suggest getting a set of belts with the adjuster built into the belt, instead of built into the buckle. They are a little more comfortable. They also have a non racing belt, that has the shoulder belts sewn to the lap belts, so you don't have to teach every new p***enger how to ***emble their belts.
