Hello Guys, I just joined about 10 minutes ago. I have had this website in my files for a while and finally decided to join. The reason, Just to have contact with guys who may share an interest in what I might decide to embark on! I bought a 36 ford pickup 40 years ago (that's right) from my brother when he was getting ready to join the army national guard. (Vietnam was hot in the late 60's- wow). I drove the relic for a couple of months and (due to embarrassment) I put it in storage. It was smoking a bit and had a broken frame member. I totally dismantled it over the next 3 years and started buying parts. A good frame from a 37, another grill shell (better than the one I had), new (that's right "New") rear finder from a ford dealer going out of business, and on and on and on. Now I am trying to convince myself to sell, rebuild, retrofit, build a hot rod ---- ????? I will post pictures when I get the parts back in daylight and out of the storage. Thanks for the website and membership. Ron
There's lots of 35 to 37 Ford truck enthusiasts here. Roothawg is very knowledgeable. 'Search' is your friend To be honest 'search' can gobble a lot of time I dont know anything about computers but it sure would be great if the information on this website could be 'clustered'.
Hey That truck is family after 40 years so build it and be happy, if you sell you may well spend the rest of your life regretting it. Beisdes that i have a 36 and a 37 Ford pickup that i recently got and will begin my build soon and it would be cool to see someone else build one as well. Welcome, Mark
Welcome! If your kept it for 40years your gotta build it! Plenty of guys here with 35-37 pickups, there a great lookin ride!...C
Yeah, you need to build the truck and hot rod it. You just needed us to tell you what you already know. I've had Henrietta, my '38 Ford pickup, 43 years, 7 years longer than I've had my wife.
