hey guys i thought id let you all know about this. this is what was formerly known as the hot rod super nationals in hot rod magazine back in the early 90's, but now it has changed hands and it has been moved to quaker city drag strip in salem ohio. for $35 you can race all 3 days or show your car or both(you can also pre register for $25).you can also camp there for free the dates are june 19-21 or you can check it out at www.steelvalleysupernationals.com. also there is about a 3 or 4 mile cruise through the town of salem all three nights with burnout contests, live bands, food and there will also be a ch***is dyno, last year they had a drive in movie in a parking lot with a projector and you can check that out at www.steelvalleysupernationalsafterparty.com bill
I used to cruise Salem pretty regular, Red Barn to the Burger Chef with a lap or two around the Frost Top DQ lot. Its a bit far now,but you never know.
There will be a big group of us downtown. Some go to the show, I'm not too thrilled with the show, but enjoy downtown.
25 bucks is cheap for a whole weekend show and racing. the last couple years they had a cl*** for old funny cars and g***ers. Bill
