    Hello from sunny(!!!!) Bristol, England.
this the first time i have joined anything like this so bear with me please.

i've been into early rods and rock'n'roll since i was 16, i started with a 302 mustang (at 17 years old, in england, that was very different and was told i was odd!).next came cl***ic brit '50's tin ('57 ford consul highline,59 ford zephyr). at the same time i started to collect parts for my dream rod:eek:riginal '32 ch***is(rare as hens teeth back then!)model A front & rear crossmembers, banjo rear end, '53 8rt flathead with offy 3 carb intake, beehive oil filter, '32 roadster body,'32 front end. then got married, the exwife and i got impatiant for a rod so sold it all(I know I know.. if only i kept it!) so then flirted with building a '27 T, ended up buying a part started '29 pheaton and i finnished this one! it was a cheap rod but it was my first home built rod,so i gave it to the exwife as a birthday prezie. then we had two kids, the rod got sold, dropped out of the scene, ten years shot past.....and now i'm back with a savage thirst for trad early rods.
i'm a car mechanic for a main dealer and have been for most of my working life.
tryin to sort out parts for my first rod in ten years.
oh and my sis(daisy duke) has been a member of this site for years so it's thanks to her that i found this mint(good) site.

Hello and welcome from Colorado and a fellow dealer mechanic. Just a word of advice, try not to use the Rat Rod term around here, some guys take offence.

Welcome from Nebraska...not quite the middle of nowhere, but I can see it from the front porch!!
I missed being British by three months....WWII got things (my mum) moving to US. Dad followed later...RAF Hurricane pilot. LOVE all parts of the isles.
Been there many times and was a bit surprised to see some really excellent hot rods. Although, not too surprising when one considers that 99% of Formula One car are based there. Lotsa talented folks!!
Did I remember to say "Welcome"?
