I will post my plaque picture next week when I get home. The club is based out of Long Beach Calif and called SULTANS . Before we moved to Arizona we use to meet at Frisco Burger on Woodruff in Downey I know that there are members in Bellflower South Gate Cerritos and we cruised Bellflower blvd. The plaque will be on my 32 as soon as it is done. Here are names of some of the members I remember best ( Steve Leniar , Virgil , Don , John , Jacqueline , Thanks Frenchy
Two clubs that I haven't seen listed yet are the Dragons and Hywinders.....both were Tacoma based and merged @ 1957 to form Demonos. If anyone out there has a plaque of either one (if they even exist), I'd like to get 'em to the club. I think that would be cool.
I have found two more plaque that I had for some time now. Changin Tymes So Cal and the other one SINNERS. Thanks Frenchy
No club Lone Wolf I made this cast aluminum plaque in 1968 in high school metals cl***. I hand cut the letters out of masonite and sand cast it. It now hangs in my garage! Also cast a moon type gas petal i made out of masonite. I just gave the petal to my brother a few months ago for his garage wall. John
Here's the original pattern that that plaque was made from in case you need any New New Old Stock ones made Dennis
Do you know 8BB (Eight Ball Baz)? He made a lot of the plaques on this page ..... United Kingdom PM me for more info. Bill
Bill, I'd posted my South Gate Gators plaque back a while ago. You also have it on your website. As an ac***ulative effort I'd like to ask you and the rest of the HAMB plaque post participants if they have ever seen or might have the second GATERS plaque that I'd recently found a picture of on the AHRF. Jim Miller was kind enough to provide me with as close and clear a shot as he could with the photograph he was working with. I did the line drawing based on the detail (as I can interpret it). My dad had always told me there was a different South Gate Gaters plaque but until recently, I had no idea what it looked like. The Gaters were SCTA members back in the mid-40 into the early 50s. I still do not know the reason why there is two different spellings to Gater/Gators, when the official club name was spelled G-A-T-E-R-S. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Gaters (Chris)
Formed this club in 1958. There's still 6 or 8 guys that get together in SoCal once a year. A lot of us will be at our 50th high school reunion in July. The SDTA stands for San Diego Timing ***ociation.
Here's an old one I picked up several years ago, within a week of buying this I bought a collection of magazines and there was one 58-59 Fawcett Customs issue, inside was a Birmingham car with the same Club plaque.
Dennis I got the plaque yesterday, looks good, as I said I was not sure were the EXILES plaque was made for sure but it could not be to far from lakewood as most of us didnt have enough money to get out of Town in those days. lol Most of us were laid off Long Beach Douglas A/C Employees in those days.
