Kind words from Bass go a long way. His builds are unbelieveble. Can't wait to see more on this car. Great start.
thank you very much for the kind words guys! sorry that it took so long to thank ya, been real busy with everything wrappin up in time for the holiday, but thank you very much guys.... and Bass, i remember seeing one of the cars you chopped on 50chevy.com, and it amazed me man.....that was when i was starting my chop, and id just like to say that your work was some serious inspiration for me man, thank you guys so much!
Just wanted to tell ya your 54 looks KILLER!!!Your chop looks dead-on,and makes me wish I'd never got rid of mine.Keep up the great work, and please keep us posted.I thought I was doing good just chopping a model a.I wouldn't have dreamed of doing something like that at your age(or now).Awesome metal skills.
tryin to get my roof metal finished as close as i possibly can....would NEVER be possible with out the torches haha... id never be able to get it if i couldnt do any heat shrinking!
nothin too fancy, went the triangulated 4-link route (figured it would be a good way to go because i see alot of guys using them)
Your only 16 and did this, shit! Its a gorgeous car, props man. Did an amazing job. I just turned 17 and im just getting into metal fab and welding, got a long road ahead
just turned 17 myself actually...i need to update my age haha, but thanks man i appreciate it! what all kind of metal fab/welding ya doing?
hey thanks 51gringo, that back window is still fightin me.... its a tough one, but its totally worth it
im patching up my trucks cowl vents, straightening the cab (has a few big dents) and rechopping the top, bout a 4in right now.
been goin real good knuckelhead, thanks for asking! i was really hoping to get more done over my easter break, but i ended up spending more time with my brother than planned (not really a bad thing tho because he lives in boston so i dont get to see him real often) hopefully be gettin started on the packard taillights soon!
thats pretty cool larzbahrs, you mig welding the patches? what kinda hammer/dolly are you using on the dents??
yep, using my dads ancient mig, i got one of those cheapo dolly/ hammer sets from pepboys. I need to get some new ones because i left them inside my trck one night and since i dont have a windsheild in (because of the chop) They all developed surface rust, learned my lesson well
nothin wrong with a little surface rust bro good luck on the metal work tho, keep me updated on it please, and if you ever have a question or need a second opinion on something, just hit me up...its cool to hear from another guy my age thats into metal!
