I got part numbers for ya..and they are common cheap drums..I believe ranger truck drums..I have the same rear end in my A and found the original drums were cost prohibited..way too pricey..I think i got mine for 28 bucks each they look a bit different than stock but they work lemme go out and see what the number on the box is
Ok ive got all kinds of numbers for ya.. I got these at Car Quest have them look at these numbers..Im not sure what one is the part number so you may have to go down the list with them until one hits 8923 RB112W FL405 8923BDR 900968 im sure one of those will be a direct hit I ran into this problem last year..this is how i soved it..Ill send you a Pm to let you know
8923 come up as 81-82 ford f100. http://www.power-21.com/federalmogulpower21i/Interchange.aspx?pn=8923 raysbestos crosses to 2687. http://www.raybestos.com/wps/portal...angeSearchResult#7_CK8LTDGHC44SSOR30U80000000 8023 comes up mt.
thats probably it than..i remember that it was a ford pick up truck..and didnt the ealier 78 -82 fords truck line get called ranger before the little ranger came out?
not 100% sure on the ranger. my frame and rear for the 52 is off a 79 f150/ranger.doh! hang on. i'll measure mine. its 10" rear. forgot.
yeah my friend has an F-150 with "ranger" taged on it..its even a pot metal emblem..than the mid size ranger came out after ford imported the courier(sp)..something like that....dont wanna dirty this guys thread with an aguement over this..the drum is a ford pick up truck drum from 78-82..CQ..is going to run the number for me a bit later hes up to his back side in other shtuff right now..I'll be sure to make sure the right numbers and model is posted for the O.P.
Those are 74-77 Maverick drums, center hole measures 2.775 inches. That's the good news, bad news is the guys that made them for NAPA no longer make them. NAPA number is 87025, might find a warehouse that has them. Good luck.
A lot of guys use the Maverick rearend in 49-51 shoebox fords so there is quite a bit of info on the www.Shoeboxford.com site. Many guys, it seems, use the rear disc brakes from early 90's crown vics. Apparently it is easy and cheaper than new drums that can be up to $150. a piece if you can dind them.
8923 come up as 81-82 ford f100 im sure this is it....and it will not cost you over 38 bucks each..screw all that 100 or 150 dollar drum ****..
Ok i just got off the phone with him 8923 or 8923BDR is for a 80-82 F-100 or 80-82 F150 $34.89 each these will get the job done..and with a reasonable cost
I just rebuilt a Maverick 8" & put it under my '34, NAPA wanted around $90 each for drums, got them from Rockautoparts online for areound $30-35.
Sounds like some 67 mustang figures 2 inch on the V8 and 1 3/4 on the 6 cyl and I paid 30 a piece for the rear drums for the V8 at Major auto parts here locally
