hey guys, are 55 olds doors the same as 55 chevrolet? I think pontiac is the same, but idk about olds. And 55-57 chev doors are the same, so maybe olds interchange with them? Just wondering guys, help if you can.

  2. Don't know about the doors but the vent window ***emblies are totally different. The Olds "A" pillar is angled whereas the Chevrolet/Pontiac are vertical.

  3. The Pontiac doors are similar/close but the Olds are not gonna switch.

Olds/Buick doors are way way diffrent, but Pontiac is close enough for goverment work. I'd also be interested to know the diffrences in 5/6/7 doors. I'm in your area, what kind of doors are you looking for?

5-6-7 chevy doors? The trim holes are different, and in 55 and 57 the door lock keyholes are in the same spot, but 56 were positioned elsewhere (lower I think). Im not looking for doors, I was just wondering cause my dad builds 57 chevys and we have a 55 olds 2 door ht out back so I thought we might be able to use the doors on a chevy if we need them, but I guess not

  7. 55 olds doors will only fit on 55 olds and 55 chevy doors will only fit on 55 chevy you also have to remember that every model's door is differnt a too door post is a differnt size than a convertable or a 4 door hard top is a differnt sized door than a 4 post.

I wouldn't be surprised that they fit on the Chevy. On my Safari, all the interior window mouldings are identical to a Chevy. As for the hardtop/convertible doors, they should be the same.Even the Nomad/Safari use convertible doors. The windshields for a post car and a hardtop/convertible/Nomad/Safari are different also.

I looked up in my Danchuk catalog about the convertible/hardtop interchange, and the full doors for sale are separated (as in, you can buy a complete door for a '55 & '57 hardtop, then there's one for a '55 & '57 convertible, and so on) But the door skins are put together('55 & '57 2 door hardtop & convertible.) That makes me think that mayble there is a little difference in internals, mounting, or framework of it?? Hope I helped.
