was having some massive anxiety about doing it, but thanks to mercmanmario's earlier post showing his first 4 door chop it gave me the extra kick in the ass i needed to finally start it. sorry took the pics with a camera phone so it's a little blurry.

oh yeah it does! the night the top got placed back on ...that was the BEST sleep i've had ever since i started working on it. i just wrapped up the front posts everything went pretty smooth (i'll put up some pics of it after)...worried about blending the rear window in though...middle posts don't look so bad, i'll start on that tomorrow. thanks again for the positive comments guys.

hopefully a little filler will smooth it all out. anyone have any tips before moving onto the back window?

Looks great... The hardest part is having the nerve to cut the roof off your car for the first time.

Looks like you've got past the hard part, and it looks like you're doing a good job on the rest!

Looks great so far! Brace the hell out of the back window opening or leave the glass in (I recommend leaving the glass in) its amazing how much they can flex just getting it in there. Best of luck!

    Tips on the rear window:

use about a 6ft. or longer piece of sheet metal, about 2" wide. Lay it lengthwise in the center of the roof. With the trunklid off ,the strip will lay flat across the roofline into the beginning of the trunk opening,, It's kind of a visual "that's where the glass should go" look.
Worked great for all mine anyway.

    Looks great, and good luck...

Come on, you can tell us...this isn't your first chop, is it? (smiling) Looks like a first class job in every way. You have every reason to be proud of your efforts and you have every reason to be proud when you cruise around in it. Keep the news and photos coming!!
