Looking for a hose 11 inches long ,Its in the mid 60's tried corvette hoses 'chevelle ,corvair they didnt work. If anybody has this book please contact me. its for my dads 34 ford sedan .Thanks John

  2. one is as close as your Napa store..but the parts boy may not know it. tell them to look in the back of the brake book . better yet take the book from them and look up what you need yourself

Are you sure a napa book has illustrations and hose lengths thread sizes. My parts guy at national auto stores which gets me everything for my rods . Tried raybestos and many manufacturers of brakehoses. Even tried on line . No one even knows how you measure a brakehose ,end to end or at the hose ,they deal in part numbers. This is a custom set up he used, corvette rear corvair rear wheel cylinders Hoses he cant remember what he used .built the car in the early 70's

Look for a Wagner Brake Products Illustrated Reference Guide Book cat# hu-400 July 1991. My buddy has one and it illustrates all the hoses up to 1991. With more detail ( ends configuration ect perhaps we can help). Hard to find but perhaps a local auto store has one?

  5. 11 inches? tried a mid-80s Chevy Suburban or pickup hose?

yep, just for ****s and grins I went there and found a hose 15 inches long on the first try, listed by size of end, thread pitch etc. great reference.

  8. i have a '91 wagner book. you need the length, type of ends and size of ends.

  9. Sadly the printed books are being phased out. My Carquest was our go-to at teh rodshop and they said corporate just switched them over to really ****py books that only hit the modernn basics.

  10. and that is why i started collecting old catalogs......the parts stores i got them from thought i was crazy. then they started calling me and sending their customers to me . some of the companies have gotten better with online catalogs, so you can find old parts like brakes, tune-up, belts, hoses but the illustrated guides are still worth gold.

  11. Same here man! Only I need a few to fill my gaps!

NAPA has an Illustrated Brake Parts Book. It's not the same book as the applications book. i have one. let me know what ends you need and the length, and I'll look it up. i also have Wagner, Bendix, and Raybestos books. I have over 50 ft of shelves with parts books on them.
