It's been 9 long years since I have done any real work on my truck. It is a 56 chevy pick-up. I have been trying for two weekends now to remove the master cylinder. The arm to the brake pedal is all that is left. There is a grease fitting at the point where the arm connects to the MC. Also it looks like the pedal itself screws into the arm. Short of dynamite, how do you get this thing off? Thanks.

1st off remove the grease fitting, then you see the bolt just to the left of that, remove bolt and the plate ( that hold the pin in there)

Thanks for the tip. It worked eventually, but I had to use a gear puller to get the brake pedal off, then I could remove the MC, and wd-40 the hell out of the pin before it came out. All I want to do was put some brake fluid in the MC, and the cap rounded off. I tried every thing to remove it before I decided to remove the MC to get the job done. So I just now got the cap off too. Cuts, bruises, maybe a spider bite, rust in the eyes good music. Life is good.
