Hard Rubber.....tricks?

    So, I got some rubber pieces that connect my gas tank to the fuel line and the are very old, tired, cracked and HARD... I was wondering if any one on here has some tricks to remove these things?

    As in side cutters and straight edged razor blades? You do not to be using old rubber on fuel lines/tanks!

    cut them with a knife.

    Same as above, replace them. They won't seal for long after being disturbed.

    Split them length wise with a knife.
    Then peel them off.

    New Fuel line is cheap and easy to get.Make sure you use American hose clamps, when you put it back together. The No-Name imported stuff comes loose.

    oh, I forgot to mention that I'm gonna try and "clean out" the lines and tank then replace all the rubbers and what not... thanks for the advice.
