    I'm interested too

  5. I have been telling my friends about this. Seems like at least 5 more cars to run, and even more spectators are in to it.

    Camping would be a +.

Old6', It couldn't have went any better! Joe (the owner of Eagle Field) is vey open minded to our event. Next step I'm taking is having "Pledge Cards" made to see if we can raise the money for insurance. Anyone interested in helping with a pledge drive contact me and I'll get you some. Those who fill out the card will only be asked to honor them when the event is sure to happen. We will accept contributions from those who want to help Eagle Field reguardless, just make the payment out to Eagle Field Museum and get it to me. All contributions will be made directly to Eagle Field Museum with all proceeds of the event going to Eagle Field Museum. I'm thinking we ask for a $10+ pledge for individuals and a $50+ pledge from business'.
I have much to check on (security, sanitation, fencing, barriers, Insurance) and feel we can make this happen. Right now Joe is adding grass to the open areas and will have the areas we need done by next year. I don't know if we can wait that long:D but it the 1/3 he has done now makes it much more comfortable. He did say he could disc and roll the open areas like he does for the fly-in, i feal as long as the wind don't blow we'd be alright but grass would definately ROCK. RV's will be alright and welcomed the idea of a Meet and Greet in the Hanger. I've kicked around the idea of honoring some of our local automotive heroes and Joe even thought that maybe a dinner @ the Meet and Greet on their behalf.
Joe is a working stiff like us, trying to save some awesome history with volunteer help and the income from the Fly-in. My son and I got involved and worked on a TUG today and plan on helping reguardless of our event.
With everything going on today I forgot to check on having a small group of Traditional cars being on display at the Fly-in June 13th. If your interested in bringing a car that could fit in with the early '50s email me a photo. I will keep everyone posted on the Fly-in. Anyone interested in this event needs to send me an email to lbrtoys@yahoo.com and I'll keep you updated. Also those interested in Eagle Field (they have a cool V1710 Allison on display) can check it out at http://www.eaglefield.net/
WE NEED YOU to make this happen! Rocky

You got it Old6'! I also dropped those requested in the mail Monday.
We can do this if we band together like our forefathers did, the owner of the property is interested. Step 1, we need to show we have the interest for an event like this. Don't let this slip away while waiting for it to happen, get involved with as little as a $10 pledge. If we had 500 people x $10 we could pay for the insurance and it won't take 500 people because I have pledges of $100 already. You won't asked to honor the Pledge until we are certain the event is happening.
How much more traditional can you get, an event for the people by the people! I have not put this anywhere else on the internet, it will be a "HAMB" Style event, and will require you to be successful. Rocky
