Dose any one have door opening spec on a 34 sedan delivery I am going to look at one for a new potential customer. He says years ago some one replaced the cowl forward & things are not wright with the alignment so he wants me to straighten out the mess. The fenders, hood & grill will not line up after the botch job along with the doors fitting so so. The rig has just sat for the last 7 years & now its time to get it back together & running. The frame has been checked & supposed to be in spec. I will know more when I see it but it would be nice to go & look with a few spec in hand. Regret full it is not for sale or give away because it is trashed.
There is no difference in measurements etc, for the Sedan Delivery up front than any other passenger car body style of 33-34. Faulty cowl replacements are usually one of two things: 1. Lower section too far forward, doors don't fit right and front sheet metal is a bitch if not impossible to fit nicely. 3. Lower section too far back (much more common than too far forward), doors don't fit and may have had the front edges "trimmed" to try to fix before giving up, and front sheet metal is again a bitch to align and make fit correctly.
Pasadenahotrod thanks that is what I thought. I am going to look at it next week I think. My potential customer has the nose off & he wants to reinstall it before I go to look at it. I am thinking after the cowl was installed with out the nose in place they shave the doors to fit but wont know till I see it thanks Danny.
