To cut a long story short

    I have £6,000 so about $12k

I have a day to day car, albeit a custom one, i still use it daily as well as show it.

Lot of time saving has mean't, i now have a bit to go on the weekend ride.

It's nearing Summer here in the U.K. so i'm swaying towards buying a complete T-Bucket.

But all the ones i've seen over here look like tractors or are WAY over my budget. My question is, can someone point me in the direction of 'Resto' T-Bucket projects i can peruse to see what is needed for a self build :)

P.S. Am i setting my sites too high ? Do people normally build another type of Rod then move up to T-Buckets ? Or is it personal choice ?

You can buy a nice, finished bucket for $12k. I'd suggest buying one that is done

Not too clued up on shipping but after reading a few forums in the U.K. it seems to be a rough figure of £2,500 - $5,000 (approx exchange rate)

Another thought would be, if i broke down in the middle of nowhere i'd like to know what was wrong and how to fix it. Making my own would enable me to learn while i go. Visualizing a finished Rod in my garage, for me, is the same as owning one (If that makes sense)

I'm not trying to interject bad thoughts into your process but you are better off dealing with realities than rough forum figures.

If you are looking to buy here (in the U.S.) you have roughly $9,000.

Good news, you are up today.

Your forum numbers are likely old as not all that long ago it was almost 2 for 1. Not now.

There are several folks from the British Iles here on the HAMB. Not sure if there is a Social Group yet but you might also check there.

Some good guys and a few displaced ones over here that I'm sure can help you. PM LIMEY http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/member.php?u=1013

Yep, he's got a Social Group for you guys! Good luck.

Uh. That is definitely NOT normal. Well done but maybe not my color choice. Are those flowers on your dash?

    No interjection worries.

The translation of price was in order to show the rough ammount i had to spend. The ammount i have to spend is a bulk ammount. Not the 'Project' budget. Was thinking i could at least purchase a few major items with the ammount. But i'm hoping for links within H.A.M.B. on T-Bucket projects past and currently ongoing, so i can price things up. (Does that make sense )

I'm going to buy from the U.K. Although parts i'd be buying from the U.S. (Use some of my discounted parts privelages from being a member.. Maybe)

Good idea doing what you can with your alliance membership. LIMEY is an alliance vendor and has some parts.

I'm hoping you fix the typo on your comment above. 'But i'm hoping for links within' H.A.M.B. Otherwise, you might have us confused with another organization that isn't very normal!

I have seen some fairly decent T-Buckets on Craigslist in the 9K area. Complete and running.

It can be done for that IMO.

    Thank-You, i will do

I'm anything BUT normal. Who wants to be normal ha ha. Flowers ? Hawaiin. Video of my ride in my Sig.

Thanks for that link. Just what i was after, it shows me where to start. Bit basic, but i think i'm at the basic stage right now.

    ........................................................................................

Am i best just going out and finding an old model T shell then ?

Then starting from there, think i've answered my own question. Thank-You to everyone who has replied.

Thanks to everyone who has replied, i'll make it up to you. Nothing i do is normal. In time i'll reward you all ;):D

  19. I just sold this Track T for $8,000. Great little car, but not what many folks here in the US are looking for these days.
