John Kelly had a set-up like that in his ba*****t; the pictures that you saw could have been from his set-up. I think that he mentioned that the house would creak under high pressure wheeling.
Sweet wheel. I just have the little ****py Eastwood one, But it works ok, Plus I scored it for 200 bucks brand new so I can't complain.
Big Sally is set up so I can change to upper wheel or lower anvil rack to a narrow or smaller set up if nessasary but having 4 machines works great.
Neither unless you plan on doing lots of reinforcement. the horrible fright machine comes with full radius anvils so you have to make a lot more easer pases to wheel a panel unless you want lots of track mark's in your panel. Fuzzy Bunny starts working for me this week I think so once he has used it I will let him tell you how well this cast machine works.

Good for you!, the chances of finding an old bandsaw down here are zero as most of Oz's s**** is now in China. I have been slowly planning to build a wheel for a while now and it will be a steel plate frame rather than piss about with tube . I intend to turn up my own wheel and anvils .If I had the chance to buy a cast bandsaw frame I would be in like a shot! .
How much would an actual Lazzie's wheel cost? Remember, Harbor Freight often does sales on their stuff and offer coupons too. The previous Harbor Freight wheel mentioned in an earlier post for sale at $179 started off at $399.99 which is now at a regular price of around $299.99.... It went on sale for $179.99, and a 20% off coupon gets sent out almost every month... so it could be had for $143.99. (about 1/3 the price) I'll be watching the heavy duty model to get a 1/2 way decent machine for 1/3 the price. To me, the heavy duty china version of Lazzie's wheel is worth $220... How much would an actual Lazzie's wheel cost again?
An actual Lazze wheel was $4995.00 in 2006 when I was there for 10 Days I have his bead roller & the deep throat shrinker strecher Danny.
Hey carbuilder! how about some pics of your FAT girls, please. I have a elevation mechanisim off a old Dewalt radial arm saw. Plan on using it for a quill when I build mine. Its stout 3.5" cast iron! Some things are better fatter! Regards. Al

LOOKS much better than their other models. I wonder how thick the material is in the frame. The "Foot Wheel" is much too high, to use your foot, too low to use your hands. Yokes should be bolted on, not welded. Should have a single leg on front.
Funny you should say that... the white yugo is the daily driver, the red yugo is the show car (less than 9000 miles on it), and the blue yugo is the rallycross yugo (and does well!) They seemed small and cheap when they were new because americans drove big expensive cars then... maybe we could use that car here and now!? (and maybe I shouldn't push it) Any car that can go from point "A" to point "B" is a good car... but the car you can't afford to drive or doesn't run is just an expensive lawn ornament. If the chinese version of Lazzie's comes out at $300, then I make out pretty good with a little something that's useable - especially for the small amounts of metal working that I do. Oh, China and their money... maybe we can look back at our country's roots and learn something from the chinese. For the U.S. Industrial revolution... there was a guy that took england's idea's of a factory... memorized them... and brought them here (stolen) which we made and improved upon to build our country strong... oh and wait... Varner Von Braun... (the German that developed the rockets for the Nazi's)... well, after the war... we stole him and his work to get the U.S. into the space race. Stealing ideas and improving them is something our country has gotten away from recently... and maybe we need to do more to be compe***ive.
