Hey all, i just moved up to Milwaukee to attend Marquette University and i was wondering if there are any cruise nights or hang out spots up here (car related of course). I met some of the Cheaters at the Indy weekender, i was the kid hangin out with the Chrome Czars. I remember you guys saying something about a diner or something. Thanks everyone.

  3. Nite Owl Diner by the Airport may be the only thing to cruise to since school started..., but there are a couple of shows in Jefferson, Elkhorn, and Waukesha.

I'll have to check the schedules for the dates.

    Mark,
Thanks for the info. Where is the Night Owl street wise. I dont know town all that well yet. Also, the only thing i have been cruisin is the bus. They would not let me bring a car to school and i had to sell my old car at Christmas time anyhow. Thanks again.

  5. Every wendnesday night at the Soild gold mc d's there is a car show, billet shit and rice grinders, an ocasional cheater now and then that's on South 76 street, there are a few other show weekly, a bike show every tues on HWY 100. The Jefferson swap meet is sept 25, that's midway between milwaukee and madison. Think i remember talking to you at indy, you were asking about the area. the night owl only holds the cheaters show once a year, but that's on layton ave, just north of the airport.

There are cuise-ins every night of the week but some of them only go thru labor day. Several shows every weekend. I'll have to go find my flyers for upcoming shows if your interested. Cant beat Jefferson for swap meets.

You would know exactly where the Nite Owl was if you hadn't skipped out on the Cheaters' Show, knucklehead! It's on Layton across from the airport. Great food. Cute waitresses about your age, killer.

I MAY be going to Jefferson, depending on where I'm at with the 59. IF I do, and you have all your homework done, maybe I could pick you up.

I have a 10 speed for you, i will put some new tubes in the tires this weekend. Its a cool vintage 74 schwinn continental.. 100% complete.. yellow, with original handlebar tape and seat and everything.

    you will need a lock

You can take your "vintage" ride to the cruise nights..

Maybe if you promise the cheaters that you will intro them to some young boys at school they will let you hang out with them. :)

    We will see you soon..

  14. the "Solid Gold McDonald's" Wednesday night cruise-in is one of the few that you may be able to get to on the bus line. It is on South 76 Street, 1/2 mile south of Layton Ave., near the Southridge Shopping Mall. Depending on the weather, 50 to 200 cars may show up. The rice bikes or cars don't show up, anymore. There is always a good mixture of old, muscle, restored cars.

Culver's in Hales Corners, Hwy 100 and Hwy 24 (South 108 Street and Janesville Rd.) is on Tuesday evenings, 25 to 75 cars. Bus line?

Georgie Porgies in Oak Creek, South Howell Ave. and West Ryan Rd. is on Saturday evenings. 50 to 100 cars. Far south side of Milwaukee County. Bus line?

Wayne's World drive-in, Cedarburg, Wi., north of downtown Milwaukee 25 miles. 25 to 75 cars. Bus line, doubtful.

Saturday, September 18, PignPiston party and pre 74 car show, 10am to 10pm in Fond du lac, Wi. 45 minutes north of Milwaukee on Hwy 41.

September 25, 26, Jefferson, WI. swap meet, 500 to 2000 vendors. Car show the 26th, 100 to 300 cars. Lotsa walking and looking. 45 minutes west of Milwaukee on I-94.

Most of the weekly cruise-ins will end by mid or late October.

If, anything new comes up I will post you.

Welcome to Milwaukee and not all the girls are fat. It's a hole lot of fun sorting them out. Good luck.
