Hey, I'm going to help my friend Chris sell Johnny Taylors 1958 Ford. Its a true cl***ic. Anyone have ideas on the best way to go about this?
Yeah, just explain to him that no one would want it, so he can just give it to me (I won't even charge him to pick it up).
Its in Hawthorn. Never left CA and was hoping for some good ideas. Is the whole board filled will smart *** comments just like my local Utah thread?
scripps<SCRIPT type=text/javascript> vbmenu_register("postmenu_3821366", true); </SCRIPT> , Are you joking or what ? Have you looked around this board for anytime at all ? I noticed that you're a FNG, but with what you announced about Taylors 58 ford going to be for sale I just ***umed that you knew what kind of people you would be communicating with, Good luck with the sale , By the way............. post it in the cl***ifieds, that's it. someone will buy it. If this is a "how much, it's worth thing" then look up old threads.
Not a how much thing abe, but where or who sells cars like this correct. Seems to make sense that this aint a run a the mill car. Barret Jackson are hard to deal with. I've seen 1 or two car dealers that deal in nothing but cars like this. I just cant find em now....
Please contact me. I can try and help. I know a lot about the car (been watching it for the last 20 years) as well as selling that type of car. Thanks Jim 310/991-6128.
You are going to have to find the right person for a ride like that . A hard core car collector with a museum would be the one to by it . It's going to be hard to get the right price for it the way things are right now . Only someone with deep pockets will buy cars like that now . Try Hemming and see what offers you will get !
Looks like it will go in the next CCD, first time the cars been in a magazine in over 45 years. Hopefully two hard core collectors see it and Chris can get a decent price. God these times ****. I'll be in the same situation soon as my work has dried up...Anyone need a Barn to put your finds in?
Maybe someone will see that car as a hedge against the up coming devaluation of the dollar. With that in mind, maybe the "bucks up boys" will get a bidding war going and the out come will be in your favor. Anyhow, that's a beautiful car that I remember from back in the day. It is great to see it again and how well it has been preserved. Good luck with the sale...it'll turn out right in mho.
my advice being that times are f&$%#@! tuff, tell him wait to sell it! because right now he probably won't get very much money for it..... my 2cents
