I offered to help a friend sell their '56 210 64dr. 6 p***enger wagon, but have no clue where to start on a selling price...here are the particulars<O</O 1956 210 6 p***enger wagon <O teal in color<O stored under shed<O all original, 28,370 miles<O 6 cyl<O gl*** perfect<O original interior: panels, seats aged, wheels: surface rust, paint: some surface rust, chrome: avarage, headliner great.<O all gages work, heater, fan work<O <O No body damage, hasn't been driven for 20years, but runs if you need to get larger view of pics see my phots album
Find out what the lowest price your friend would take is and ask 1000-1500 more than that to compensate for haggeling
If it was mine, I'd be asking 8500. The economy may disagree, but if it is original miles and rust free, it ought to bring that much.
Old Cars Price Guide values for '56 210 4 dr wagon, 6 p***enger 1. $28,000 2. $19,600 3. $12,600 4. $5,600 5. $3,380 6. $1,140 Deduct 10% from above for six cylinder engine.
As a buyer,I think 8500 is high as hell for a bone stock 6 cylinder 4 door wagon, I wouldn't bother to even call on that. Hell I sold a 56 210 wagon that was a good bit rougher, but a good proven driver with a healthy F/I 350/350 for $3500. It was all I could get, and I was forced to sell. If it were mine, I'd start at around $5000. If I were buying, I'd call and try to get it down to $3500........but at least I'd call.
Yea...price guide is nice but not really accurate in todays economy....unless you just happen to find that person that just has to have your wagon....4 dr 6 banger...I'm thinking $5k
Actually, I think $50 is good...BTW what is ur number and location...lol! Seriuosly, I just priced out a 55 checy wagon similar and $6 to 7 thousand was the range. Could be a good time to sit on it until economy gets better.
That car probably would have sold at the Portland swapmeet if it had been there and looks like it does in the photos. It's always easier to come down on price than go up so I'd test the market a bit higher than I thought it would go for and give myself some room to wheel and deal. I can remember when you couldn't get 500.00 out of one of those in good shape so I'm not a good one to help set a price on it.
If I had that I wouldn't sell it either. Try and find a nicer one! (trade for a 56 Pontiac sedan delivery???)
looks like a $5500 type car to me. list it at $5500 and see what happens. if it were me, i'd try to get it for around or less than $4000
