Thanks J and everyone else who's supported the new direction! I agree, the Flathead will be look much better between those deuce rails I just got my rims and tires mounted today and they are looking very sinister. Hoping to start a build thread as soon as i get my frame and new body to Chuckles Garage new work space in Santa Rosa, CA. Once again... congrat's Scotty, can't wait to see it next month! grace and peace cab
Dig the new plans a whole lot better CAB; check out Andy Southard's book "Hot Rods of the 1950s" for some really nice examples of Model T RPU's.
Thanks Dutch I will check out that book you suggested, i need all the inspiration i can get because of my extreme obsession with the dry lakes era these days! I've got the "birth of hotrodding" book by Robert Genat which is awesome and very detailed about those times with some great articles and pics. duste01 ...still got them headlights, just trying to figure out what i'm going to use to mount them to the frame and have a nice look.
Steve / Scotty....... wanna join me on the Bonneville trip this year? it'll give you all the inspiration needed for this project, plus some. this year i'm bringing the old camper and you guys need to make it out. if you haven't been to the flats yet, i promise it's life changing love the route you've chosen, Steve. -scott noteboom
Thanks Scott! What are the dates your going? I'll have to check my skate schedule, it's been hectic lately, gone every weekend for different events, I'm in Vegas this weekend for a Vans vert demo and i missed Viva by one week I would love to go since i've never gone to Bonneville yet and have heard so much about it! Call me and we'll chat about it. peace cab
Isn't this called "The ***** Business Man's Coupe" I also want to say, I like the change in the project too! Not only more traditional, but to me, more appealing to the eye.
Wow, Scott's shop is filling up quick. I can't wait to see how this one takes shape. I'm the one that ended up with the '38 Chevy cab, and I am really gracious to you for selling it to me Steve. I've been working on it a lot lately, and about to start the chop (hopefully) this weekend. I'll post a build thread up soon. Cheers!
Cool Casey, can't wait to see the thread on that truck cab. Would be good to find out how it turned out for ya cheers, cab
