Hey everyone im justin active duty Marine stationed out of Quantico Va. Im building a rat rod that is a combination of many different vehicles. Ill just list what ive done so far and what i have so here it goes:

    1932 Chevy half ton frame
1952 White Super Power frieght truck cab and front grille shell
302 bored 30 over with 1970 351 heads and dual 4 barrel intakes with two holley 600's
universal 302 engine crossmember tube and mounts
universal 2" drop transmission crossmember tube and c6 pad

    Pickin up this weekend:
1966 ford rearend posi with 3:54 gears
    c6 ******
    driveshaft

I just took out the 1932 rearend tonight and im waiting to go pick up the parts to start installing rearend this weekend

My plan is to start with the rearend get it square and straight and positioned where it needs to be and working my way forward so that i dont have a problem with drive shaft. This may make my engine sit alittle furthur forward then what i was planning but its a better fit for my budget then to get a drive shaft cut and balanced. I need to take off the front brakes to see what spindles size is on there so that i can find a conversion to disk brakes. If anyone knows please let me know where i can find the disk brake kit that would be greatly appricated. Otherwise for right now im going to keep the straight i beam axle and maybe drop it once i get it on the road. So ill probably be asking alot of questions im new to the older model cars. But like everyone says you can only learn from trial and error.

Welcome to the HAMB from another Fredericksburg-er. Be sure to stop by and check out the Virginia HAMB group ---> http://jalopyjournal.com/forum/group.php?groupid=69

There's details in there about a couple of car shows this Saturday (the 18th) that should be worth going to.

Welcome from Naw-fuk Virginia! That's a big *** bag of parts you got there! I dig it, I'm doing an under slung '39 Chevy Pickup. A few tips from another FNG, Rat rod is a bad word here and your closing "But like everyone says you can only learn from trial and error" doesn't get you a cup of Joe either.....you're here to avoid mistakes, unless of course you don't take full advantage of the archives and talent here. Read the "About Us" and you'll see why. Just dig in, scrounge around the archives and get into it!

Yea I understand that rat rod is not to be said. I'm here to avoid as many mistakes as possible dont get me wrong Its just a thing of nature go forward 10 steps get set back one even if its a minor detail. This is my first build and im having a ton of fun with it so far I picked up my transmission and rearend and drive shaft. So I'm pretty busy taking off the old mounts of it and fabing together a way to use the ones of the 32 as my mounting plates. Then it will be to the drive shaft and mounting the transmission.
