Last I heard he was figting Cancer I think.... I saw the doco Ramones End Of the Century the other day its pretty cool and a great look at the band, thats like 3/4 original members in 2 years, makes me glad I saw them a couple of times the last time in London on Loco Live with the 78 line up of the Damned is still my best ever concert.....
    RIP Johnny.

    You sure???

There's nothing in print anywhere confirming this...

I googled it, checked all the news sites, nothing...

I only saw them once. I think they played every song they ever recorded in about 40 minutes! Those guys were the real deal.

Punk's just about dead now isn't it...

For me the Ramones stood for everything that was good and "pure" in rock and roll. No matter what stage of life I'm in, a Ramone's song will always make me happy. I don't think I've heard a single song from them that I couldn't listen too. They were all good.

I've never seen them live. I truely regret that.

I have thousands of CD's, Tapes, and Records. I've listened to lots of bands, from obscure to common, from blues to pop, and from all eras. Across all those "lines" the Ramones were always one of my top 5 favorite bands at any given point in my life.

    Thanks Johnny... [IMG]

Take this to heart guys. It's not fun but see your doctor regularly.
