Yeah, I got a house in Navarre ('bout halfway between Pensacola & Ft Walton Bch), a '46 Chevy truck in a mini-storage unit there, and my military long-term storage is in Pensacola. The house is insured, the gov't won't pay squat if the long-term storage is ruined, & the truck isn't insured (it's a project in boxes). Power & phones are out, but some cel phones are still working. Heard they had 50' waves overnight. Several sections of Hwy 98 are completely washed away (did that back in '95 w/Erin & Opal), sections of US90 are washed away, & even parts of I-10 are closed due to flooding. I've got a business trip back there planned for the last week of Oct, but I'm going to have to get someone to take a look for me... I've been lucky the last 4yrs I've been over here, but guess it was time... Not knowing is the worst part.
