I put led turn signal lights in my 40 Ford headlight doors. Then tryed to put them on the truck. The lights hit the head lights so the doors don't fit. I got a set of flat head lights in the hope that would solve the problem, but thy still don't fit over the head lights. Any one found a answer
Thats what I have but thy hit the head light. And I can't screw the door down. What are you using for a head light? I see drake sells one with the alignment tips ground off.
are you talking about the headlight door hitting the three little alignment ***s on the headlight itself? if so , yes...drake has headlights without them. kinda spendy at $25 each you can also nip them off yourself with a side cutter and then grind what's left...use a little water to keep it cool
Ya got them in backwards? Maybe even if they don't look it try turning on top/back to bottom/front and see if it fits...
This has worked for me in the past, if that is what you are referring to. Just cut and grind the nubs off the bulb and it should fit fine. Mike
My problem is the led is hitting the top of the head light. I tryed the flat faced lights the same thing. I through the led's in my Drake junk pile along with the window regulators.and window crank
I think Bob is getting old and letting someone else do the buying, Lately it's been ****. I have bought thousands of dollar from Bob including his chrome 40 ford grill. All my lights and gauges. I hate to see him become a junk dealer.
i had a long talk with Bob at the nationals in Louisville last year...i don't think he is missing step just yet. he seam to be as committed as ever. there must be something we are missing in this....you should post some pictures of your problem
