I plan on running a four barrel intake on my Chevy 250-6.
I know the 'easy' set up is to run a Holley 390cfm but they are a bit pricey for new ones and good (inexpensive)used ones are a little scarce.
I wondered if I could use the Road Demon 525cfm with satisfactory results.
I plan on running a little hotter cam and split full length headers with an HEI.
This is slated to go into my '54 Chevy pu.
    Any advise?

Do you already have the Road Demon? I have heard nothing but bad things about Demons, supposedly they are harder to tune than a Holley. I don't know for sure. I also looked at Summit, they list your 525 Road Demon at $339, they also list the Holly 450 CFM 4160 at $188.
I'd say that if you already have the Demon and have exprerience with it, you might as well give it a shot. If if doesn't work, take it off and get something smaller.
    Good luck.

    Ravin,
If you can find a carb off of the old hipo 289's that came in the early Mustangs, they are 450 CFM and work great.

I have a 390 Holly on my 258ci flathead. It's worth every cent of what they want for it. You may have to jet it down a bit; I did on the flathead.
