So i need to run sans hood and fenders for a while(Lonnnngggg Story) and have seen tons of Fellow Hambers and other no-essentials with the little Bars that run from the cowlish area to the Grill shell/radiator to hold it firm in place and was wondering what you use and how you did it...i screwed this up twice alreasy and dont want to again so i thought i would come to the masters!(should have in the first place would have saved ma' radiator) Thanks
hahaha my 55' pickup....probably not the answer you expected! its for a month at tops but i keep making **** that works for thirty seconds to shake into pieces..... Found a perfect picture gonna try to copy that.. Anyone else got a pic tor two to help?
That's not going to be too pretty going down the road! What are you going to do for headlights? Why can't you put the fenders and radiator support in it? God I hope this isn't some kind of R-- Rod thing.
They're called *radiator stay rods*, but you must have the proper brackets on your firewall and the correct receiver on your radiator......they are really made for Model A's through '36's...........you can get them from any number of suppliers......Speedway for instance: http://www.speedwaymotors.com/Produ...009 7:10:45 PM=Radiator+Support+Rods&deptId=0 Good luck..... i need to obtain some fenders/hood first and want to drive it....legality isnt a problem i just need to work something up to hold the radiator in place(rad. support would work but need to figure out how thats gonna mount as this is a different ch***is then normal) i was thinking what you said mr57.. inner fenders, hood latch panel, radiator support and run it!
Older Jeeps atatch to the back side of the grill, at the corners, above the rear of the headlight buckets. X2, Don't cobble it if you don't have to. Jeff
